Peggy Joyce Boggess, 74, of Buffalo Gap, Texas, passed away Saturday November 6th in Abilene, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5 pm - 7 pm on Thursday, November 11th at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Graveside service will be held at 2 o’clock on Friday, November the 12th at Breckenridge Cemetery, with Pastor Alan McAlister officiating. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not parish but have eternal life.”

Peggy was born in Olney Texas, to Harold and Mary Aylor on June 1st, 1947. She attended Olney schools. She married Jackie Boggess March 21st, 1966, in Throckmorton Texas. Peggy can be described as having no enemies, she loved everyone. Peggy loved to fish, spend time with her family, and take care of everyone around her. She was a full-time mom, and a loving and caring wife. Through the years she raised four beautiful daughters. Peggy’s smiles will always bring joy, her laugh will ring in our hearts forever. Peggy was preceded in death by daughter Sandra Kay Palmer, grandson Dustin Chase, three sisters Linda Baisch, Judy Barker, Carolyn Thornly, mother Mary Aylor, and father Harold Aylor.

“In my father’s house there are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”

John 14:2

Peggy is survived by her husband Jackie Boggess; three daughters, Cheryl Day, Connie Kington, Chrystal Boggess; her two sisters, Vicky Chisum and Stacy Oliver; seven grandchildren, Garrett and Austin McDonald, Brittany Law, Jim Bob Kington, Riley Simmons, Zachary Bowman, Brooke Palmer; and her seven-great grand-children, Kamrynn and Reagynn McDonald, Baylor Patton, Brynne Law, Taylor Pedroza, Audrey and Bexleigh Simmons.

“Therefore, you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.”

John 16:22

Pallbearers will be: Garrett and Austin McDonald, Jim Bob Kington, Riley Simmons, Zachary Bowman, John Palmer. The family of Peggy wishes to give thanks to all friends and family during these trying times.
