Paul F. McCarty

Paul F. McCarty, of Abilene, Tx, formerly of Houston, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022, in Abilene.

Following a private graveside service, burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Paul was born in Abilene, Tx., to Paul and Frances McCarty on October 24, 1931. He graduated from Abilene High School and from McMurry University (then College.) Paul married Elizabeth Steele on October 13, 1968, in Abilene, Tx. He retired from Exxon/Mobil. Paul was a Korean War veteran, serving with the Army in Germany. He was a member of Klein United Methodist Church.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth, their daughter, Amy, his parents, and sister, Katydell Cox.
