Patsy Shackelford

Patsy Virginia Moore Shackelford, 81, of Abilene, passed away on March 14, 2022 in Waco, TX.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday April 2, 2022 at Elmwood Memorial Park.  Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Patsy Virginia Moore Shackelford was born in Abilene, TX to Howard Milton Moore and Ethel Leona Thornton Moore on December 20, 1940.  She went to school in Elmdale, Abilene and May, TX.  She graduated from May High School.   She married Jerry Lynn Shackelford on August 14, 1965 in Abilene. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for McMurry University for over 20 years. 

Patsy Virginia Moore Shackelford was preceded in death by husband of 30 years Jerry Lynn Shackelford, parents Howard Milton Moore and Ethel Leona Thornton Moore and her sister LaJean Moore Lawrence. 

Patsy Virginia Moore Shackelford is survived by her daughter Angela Shackelford Huge and husband Michael Huge of Dallas, TX, and her son Richard Lynn Shackelford and wife Kristie Roberson Shackelford of Waco, TX; sisters Shirley Moore Slack and husband Jim Slack of Round Rock, TX, and Martha Moore Benson and husband Weldon Benson of Brownwood, TX; grandchildren PFC Nicholas Huge US Marine Corps Reserves, Matthew Huge and Brianna Huge of Dallas, TX, Kathryn Shackelford and Jerry Shackelford of Waco, TX.
