Patsy Whittington Crenshaw

Patsy Crenshaw, 83, died Friday, March 21, 2014 at her residence in Abilene, Texas. Born in Pampa, Texas on November 11, 1930, Patsy was the daughter of Juanita (Reed) and Shannon M. Whittington. She was a 1948 graduate of Big Spring High School. She worked for First National Bank in Big Spring, Texas, and First National Bank in Abilene. Patsy married Jack Crenshaw on August 7, 1965 in Abilene. After retiring in 1992, she moved back to Big Spring in 1994. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Vickie Sue Pederson; her son, Michael Lee Pederson; her parents; brothers, Billy Bob Whittington and Glenn Whittington; and sister, Jovita Rainey. Patsy is survived by her daughter, Karen French of Abilene; granddaughters, Alisha Smith of Abilene, Kim Cravey of Eustace, TX, Leigh Timmons Costa of New Jersey, and Casey Pederson; great-granddaughters, Kori Gallimore and Kara Martin of Abilene; great-grandson, Dakota Smith of Abilene; and several other grandchildren. She was also survived by nephews, Mark, Quinn, Devon, and Craig Whittington; niece, Kathryn Milch of Ft. Davis, TX; great-niece, Tiffany Milch of Big Spring; and brother-in-law, Bill Rainey of Pueblo, Colorado. She will be cremated. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being made by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in her honor to Hospice of the Big County, 4601 Hartford, Abilene, TX 79605. Special recognition goes to the nurses and Pam Parker for care above and beyond.
