Patricia Pruitt

Patricia LaJuan Pearcy Pruitt passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015, after an extended illness. A private family service will be held on Saturday. Cremation arrangements were by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Born in San Angelo, Texas, on August 6, 1947, her parents John Ralph Pearcy and Dorothy Williams Pearcy preceded her in death. Patricia graduated from Lake View High School in 1965 and Angelo State College (later Angelo State University) in 1968 followed by a Master’s degree from Sul Ross University. She worked for many years in public education as both a general education and special education teacher, and ended as an education diagnostician. After retirement from education, Patricia worked in technology in various capacities. Patricia is survived by her sister, Kathy Hale and husband Bob of Abilene, stepsons James Pruitt of San Marcos and Grady Pruitt of Watauga, nephew Matthew Dacy of Irving and nieces Erin Bennett of Abilene, Laurie Rodriquez of San Antonio and Courtney Hale of Dallas and their families. Patricia was a member of the Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Remembrances may be sent to Meals on Wheels.
