Patricia Peters

Patricia Peters, 76, of Birmingham, England passed away on 9 May 2024 in Abilene, Texas.

Visitation will be 12-1pm Saturday 25 May 2024 at Hamil Family Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 1pm Saturday 25 May 2024 at Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road with the Brother David Cason officiating.

Patricia was born in Birmingham to Elizabeth and John J. Barton on 1 January 1948. She attended school in Coventry, England and graduated from Tile Hill Wood schools. Pat married Charles Alan Peters on July 10, 1976, in Coventry. She worked as a Machinist at Engineering Works for 8 years and as a Security and Logistics Manager with Army & Air Force Exchange Services for over 20 years. Pat served as an Air Force spouse for 17 years, leading her family through many deployments, separations and hardships during times of war and peace. She was known for her caring nature and sincere heart. The home she made was a refuge and bulwark for many enduring life's trials. Through the love she so freely shared with others, she became a mother and friend to far more than her immediate family. Our Pat is loved and shall be remembered and missed.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers Nicholas, John, Derek, Bob, and Joe.

Patricia is survived by her husband Charles, son Robby, daughter Emma, grandchildren Robby, Lelaina, Sammy, Matthew, Shelby, Braden, Mackenzie, Richard, Tristan, Connor, Aubree, great-grandchildren Gracie and Kyle, and those of us who were lucky enough to be loved and cared for by her.
