Patricia Hein

Patricia “Pat” Hein, 86, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at an Abilene nursing home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 9, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene, with Rev. Msgr. Fred Nawarskas officiating. Interment will follow in Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene. Born in Hammond, Indiana on April 24, 1927, Pat was the daughter of Sabina (Meyer) and Daniel P. Quinn. She graduated from George Roger High School in 1946, and married Jack Nelson Hein on April 23, 1947 in Whiting, Indiana. Pat was a homemaker and 26 years ago moved from Minnesota to Abilene, Texas, where she was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Pat was preceded in death by her two sons, Jack Thomas Hein and John Robert Hein; parents; sister, Jane Powell; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Olive and John Hein; and sister-in-law, Gertrude Straker. Pat is survived by her husband, Jack Hein of Abilene; one granddaughter; and a nephew, Alfred Hein. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
