Pamela (Pam) Denise Harris, 59, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 in Abilene, Texas.

The daughter of Burl and Wynona (Stringer) Harris, Pam was born on September 21, 1958 in Abilene, Texas, where she graduated from Cooper High School in 1976 before attending college. She loved to travel and had an adventurous spirit. She was very artistic and used her skills to create floral arrangements and jewelry among many other things. Pam was a co-owner of Harris Acoustics in Abilene

She was preceded in death by her father, Burl Harris and great niece, Alonna Wood. 

Pam is survived by her mother, Wynona Harris Hollister of Abilene; fiancé Steve Richard of Abilene; two sons, Joseph McGowen and wife Amy, and Travis Williams, of Abilene; and three grandchildren, Jeremy Fowler, Gage McGowen, and Sky McGowen. Survivors also include two sisters, Mandy Fudge and husband Lynn and Kim Harris, both of Abilene; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.        

Visitation will be 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, July 9, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Tuesday, July 10, at Elmcrest Baptist Church, 517 N. Pioneer Drive in Abilene, officiated by Rev. Burtis Williams and Dale Thornton. Burial will follow in the Garden of Hope in Elmwood Memorial Park, Abilene.

Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Staggs, Tim Alvarez, Michael Alvarez, Bailey Baugus, Tim Wood and Kelly Kendrick. 

The family expresses special thanks to her beloved Hospice nurse Angie Chacon.
