Opal Crumpler passed from this life into the presence of God on Saturday, December 19, 2015.
Opal Ophelia Crumpler was born November 15, 1926 in Texarkana, Texas to Charles and Orena Reynolds. She had two brothers, Charles Reynolds and Jack Reynolds.
She married CW “Buck” Crumpler on April 3, 1941 in Taylor County. To this union, three daughters were born: Judy (Cliff) Henry of Mary Esther, Florida; Karen Rouse of Owensboro, Kentucky; and Yanell (Gerald) Rieder of Abilene.
Opal was employed as assistant manager at TG & Y, in River Oaks Shopping Center, for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Buck in 1975, two brothers, a son-in-law, Dale Rouse, and a great-grandson, Garrett Ward in 2014.
Opal is survived by her three daughters, 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; as well as one great-grandchild on the way, and one great-great granddaughter on the way.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Elmwood Memorial Park, conducted by her great-nephew, Gary Gibbs of Austin, Texas. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Will Shudde for his compassionate care and friendship, Hendrick Hospice nurses and Chaplain Kathy Edwards, and the staff at Silver Springs Nursing Home, especially Linda, Christina, Nancy, Miracle and Cynthia.
