Norris E. Ragle

Norris E. Ragle, Sr., 79, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at his residence in Abilene, Texas. Born in Olney, Texas on November 20, 1935, Norris was the son of Clara Leona (Norris) and Homer Virgil Ragle. After serving in the U. S. Army, he worked as a radio engineer for Lockheed, Abilene Christian University, and several television and radio stations. He was a member of Southern Hills Church of Christ. Norris is survived by his wife, Sharon Ragle of Abilene; son, Norris Edward Ragle, Jr. and wife Kim of Springdale, Arkansas; daughter, Sharon Lynnett Storey of Abilene; brother, Homer Vern Ragle and wife Norma of Baker, Florida; sister, Alice Ragle Hall and husband Robert of Abilene; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and two special dogs, Cinnamon and No Way. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Minton officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 13, at the funeral home. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Joseph Crumblis and his staff, Bonnie Blackshear, Virgie Felton, Yvonne Wiley, Interim Hospice and Director, Jaime Huffman, Chaplain Jim Hargrove, and Nurses Unlimited.
