Norman E.C. Naill Sr. 93, of Abilene, passed away on November 1, 2024, in Abilene, TX.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, November 14, 2024, at The Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene, 7457 W. Lake Rd. with Dr. Jeff Reid of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church officiating.
Norman was born in New Windsor, Maryland to Norman Edward and Martha Mae (Haines) Naill on May 20, 1931. He graduated from New Windsor High School and Blacksburg, Virginia where he would meet the love of his life Lena Bradley. They were married in Blacksburg on October 6, 1956. Together, they moved to Dallas, TX in 1959 and then to Abilene, TX in 1969 where they would raise their family.
Norman was vice president for Hallmark from 1970 to 1975, then formed Zachery - Naill Associates from 1974 to 1979. He then was the general manager of Sun Supply and the Director of Environmental Services and a Trustee of Hendrick from 1985 to 1990 and retired from there in 1996.
Norman was a member of the Kiwanis from 1972 to 1996 and served as the Lt. Governor of the for the Texas/Oklahoma region.
Norman loved to travel with his wife, Lena, taking many cruise vacations over the years.
Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Naill; his parents, Norman and Mae Naill, sister, Florence Ogle as well as a daughter-in-law Jill Naill, and great-granddaughter Arianna Naill.
Norman is survived by his son Norman Naill Jr. of Yukon, OK, his daughter Cindy Naill of the Abilene State Supported Living Center, grandchildren Kristina Munoz and husband Santos of Odessa, TX, Rachel O'Donnell and husband Chance of Boerne, TX,
Great-grandchildren: Ayva Munoz, Santos Munoz Jr., Kelton O'Donnell, Dillon O'Donnell, Ayden O'Donnell, and sisters in law Remona Vaught, Patsy Williams and husband Alvin, and Bonnie Cox all of Blacksburg, VA.
