Norma Jean Cole, 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, August 14, 2014, in Abilene, Texas. She was born on August 23, 1937 in Cisco, Texas. Norma loved to sing and listen to Southern Gospel music.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 16, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene, with Rev. Danny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 p.m. until the service time at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Nancy Hall; two brothers, Billy Ray Hall and Elmer Hall, Jr.; and three sisters, Cordie Courtney, Florene Johnson and Oma Mosley.
Norma is survived by her husband of 59 years, Billy C. Cole of Abilene; sons, Bill Randall Cole and wife Paula of Pecos, TX, Greg Cole and wife Kim of Waxahachie, TX; Dale Cole and wife Lori of Friendswood, TX, and Brendon Cole and wife Natalie of Midland, TX; four grandchildren, Christy Martinez and John Randall Cole of Pecos, John Michael Cole of San Antonio, and Carissa Cole of Lubbock; and nine great-grandchildren.
