Nomia Jean Skeen

Nomia Jean Skeen, 90, of Combine, TX passed away Monday, February 21, 2022 in Forney, TX. She was born on April 24, 1931 in Noodle, TX to W.O. and Nomia Rebecca Harris.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 US Hwy 277 South in Abilene. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.

Nomia married John Skeen on February 27, 1965 in Abilene, and they were happily married for 44 years. She enjoyed volunteering with the VFW and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary for 50 years, and a member of M.O.C.A. for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Nomia is survived by her daughter, Becky Schmidt; step-son, John Skeen; step-daughter, Tina Bennett; grandchildren, Raymond Schmidt, Shannon Schmidt, and Richard Schmidt; step-grandchildren, Clayton Skeen, Sydney Skeen, Eric Bennett, and Hudson Bennett; and three great-grandchildren, Desiree, Rae Lynn, and Brooke.
