Nita Keltner

Nita Keltner, 79 of Abilene, Texas passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 in Abilene. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Iberis Cemetery with John Fanning of View Baptist Church officiating. Nita was born in Clovis, New Mexico to Hank Harral and Ruth Chapman on April 17, 1937. She went to school in Roswell, NM. She graduated from Roswell High School. She married Eddie Don Keltner, the love of her life, on October 25, 1955 in Alamogordo, N.M. Nita was an administrative assistant at Abilene State Supported Living Center for 26 years. She was retired. Nita was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Bettye. She is survived by husband Don, son Eddie Keltner, wife Jackie; daughter Renee Hussman, husband Ricky from Abilene; and son Kyle Keltner, Abilene; 3 grandsons, Chris Keltner, R.D. Hussman and Rocky Hussman, 7 great grandchildren, and a sister Rita Sparks and husband Bobby of Roswell, NM. Pallbearers will be Chris Keltner, R.D. Hussman, Rocky Hussman, Jason Keltner, Tyler Hussman, and Tanner Hussman. Memorials may be given in Nita's honor to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1682 Hickory Street, Abilene, Texas 79601.
