Ned Leon Follis

Ned Leon Follis, 58, of Granbury, passed away Monday, February 20, 2006 in Granbury. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 21, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Graveside services will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 22, at Elmwood Memorial Park, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church, 1316 South 2nd Street. Ned was born November 7, 1947 in Huntington, Indiana, son of Garl and Doris Follis. In 1948, the family relocated to Crane, Texas where Ned spent his childhood and later graduated from Crane High School in 1966. After high school, Ned attended North Texas State where he met his wife Brenda. They were married in Pittsburg, TX on August 23, 1969 before he went to basic training in the Air Force. After serving at Dyess AFB, Ned started a teaching career with AISD in the vocational department. Following his retirement in 2003, they relocated to Granbury.
