Mozelle Antilley, 78, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother left to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 16, 2006.
Mozelle was born in Abilene, Texas on September 26, 1927 to John and Effie Bagby. She graduated from Abilene High School in 1946. Upon graduation, she married her high school sweetheart and life-long love, Joe. Mozelle devoted her life to creating a loving home for her husband and two daughters. In later life, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mozelle enjoyed traveling with her family and friends in her early years. In her later years, she had many wonderful trips with Joe and her camping buddies ? Good Sam Travel Group and the Newmar Traveling Group. She enjoyed reading and had many outlets for her creativity, such as sewing and painting. She also enjoyed being active in her churches, Elmdale Baptist and First Baptist Church of Abilene.
Mozelle was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Vivian Kreps of San Antonio, Texas. Mozelle is survived by her husband, Joe Antilley of Abilene; her daughter, Pamela Antilley of Abilene; her daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Don Shahan of Abilene; and her nephew, Kenneth Kreps of Seattle, Washington. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Brandon Shahan and his wife, Jennifer of Abilene; Kelli Hill and her husband, Eric of Nashville, Tennessee; and Ryan Shahan and his wife, Ashley of Abilene; and three great grandchildren, Ryley and Kaytlyn of Abilene and Noah of Nashville.
The funeral, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, will be held Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Abilene with Reverend Palmer McCown and Reverend David Leyerle officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery on Highway 277 South.
