Mojie Wiese Urban

1930 — April 25, 2006

Mojie Lowry Urban, 75, passed away April 25, 2006, at a local hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2006, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, located at 525 Beech Street, Abilene, Rev. Greg Kennedy and Rev. Jon Sims will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 27, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, located at 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd. Abilene. Mojie was born on June 5, 1930 in Brownwood, Texas to William A. Lowry and Era (Nix) Lowry. She was married to Andrew Urban on April 5, 1953 in Brownwood, Texas. She worked for Southwestern States Telephone Company in Brownwood for many years. Mojie was one of the original employees that helped open Dillards Store in Abilene and worked there for 16 years. Survivors include her husband, Andrew C. Urban of Abilene, her son, Clark Urban and wife, Suzie of Ft. Worth, her sister, Melodiese Hardin of Georgetown, Texas, and two grandchildren, Alex Urban and Amanda Rogers and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Era Lowry, and her daughter, Tammie Lynn Rogers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to donor's favorite charity.
