Mildred E. Harley Hill
I'm in heaven, dear ones, and oh so happy! So many here I know; John Harley, my daddy, my mother, Linnie Lou Upton Harley, and five of my siblings. My husband, Howard and our godson, Brad, were waiting telling me to hurry 'cause the fish are really biting.
My 96 plus years there with you were very blessed. God had a plan for me and led me from my birth on September 25, 1913 in Cotter, Arkansas, to a manager's position in retail sales in Abilene, Texas, where He had my future husband, Howard B. Hill, an Abilene fireman, waiting. In later years He led us to Lake Leon in Eastland County, Texas for our retirement years, where I lived until passing in my home on Monday, March 15, 2010.
I will miss you, family and friends, but I know God still has work for you there. So, John and Lillian Harley, my brother, his wife and their children, Larry and Pam Harley, Mary Ann and Steven Gabay and James Harley; my nieces, Norma Jean Snyder and Sylvia, and my nephew, Eugene; Howard's family, Atwood and Billie Sheffield and their children, Belinda and Tom Hailey, J.D. and Gina Sheffield, Mildred and Bob Kelley, Jerry Lynn and Yang Cha Hill and their children, Don and Stephanie Hill, Howard and Kellie Hill and Janice Lisa Hill; all of my great-nieces and nephews; and Pat Walker, my caregiver and friend, when your work is all completed, God will call you home. What joy I'll have to see you come.
My life will be celebrated on Friday, March 19th, at 2 p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home in Abilene, Texas, officiated by Bro. H. B. Terry. Interment in the Tuscola Cemetery will follow. There will be a family visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. on that same day prior to the service.
I'm at peace forever, safely in heaven at last.
