Mildred L. Fritsch, 88, of Abilene died Friday, August 26, 2011, at an Abilene medical center
The daughter of Vora (Baltimore) and Ed Hinsley, Mildred was born on April 25, 1923 in Colorado City, Texas, where she graduated from high school. She married Werner Otto "W.O." Fritsch on March 29, 1941 in Sweetwater, Texas, and in 1960 moved from Sweetwater to Abilene. Mildred was a receptionist at Dyess Federal Credit Union, retiring after 25 years.
Mildred was a very active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, and a volunteer at Abilene Regional Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.O. Fritsch in 1962; her parents; and one brother, Jimmy Hinsley.
Mildred is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Ginger Manchesian and Rex of Andover, Kansas, and Mary Ann Waddell and Buddy of Lubbock, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor LaVerne Janssen officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. The graveside service will be private for the family. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
