Our beloved, Rosalie “Michelle” Davis was called home on December 29, 2017. She passed peacefully in the presence of her family after a long battle with cancer.

   She was born in Abilene, TX on May 12, 1962 to Bettie Alvarez and Al Alvarez. She took pride in watching her boys play sports and team rope. She recently turned her attention to her granddaughters’ cheer and show pigs.

   Michelle started her career in criminal justice with the Taylor County Probation. Then spent the rest of her professional career working for Texas Department of Criminal Justice in different prisons located in Abilene, Huntsville and Brownwood. She worked as Supervisor in the Maintenance Department.

   Michelle is survived by 2 sons Nick and wife Rain Davis, of Potosi and Justin Davis, of Abilene, her mother Bettie Alvarez, 1 brother Eddie Alvarez and wife Allyson Alvarez, 2 sisters Ginnie Alvarez of Abilene and Denise and husband Will Cameron of Virginia Beach, Va. Two granddaughters Sky and Shada Davis. Numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her beloved partner David Williams of Gatesville TX.

   She was welcomed into heaven by her Grandmother Rose Lee Tafolla, her father Alfonzo Alvarez and several other relatives.

   Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Monday, January 1, 2018 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Wylie Baptist Church, 6097 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, officiated by Rick Grant and Ryan Goodwin. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene.
