Michael Norris Creek, 63, of Abilene died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater, Texas.
Born in Comanche, Texas on January 5, 1949, he was the son of the late Joan (Jenkins) and Norris Creek. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam and recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a Methodist.
Michael married Sandy Tucker in Comanche, Texas in 1977. Michael and Sandy sold their business, Comanche Trucking Co. Inc., in order to semi-retire. They moved from Comanche to Abilene on January 2, 1999. Michael had been employed by Acme Brick Co. in Abilene for the past two years.
Michael is survived by his wife, Sandy Creek in Abilene; son, Jamey Creek and wife Kimberly of Buffalo Gap, Texas; granddaughter, Rylee Creek of Buffalo Gap; and sister, JoEllen Eisenrich of Weatherford, Texas, as well as his beloved sidekick, Sasha.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 28, in Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene, 7457 W. Lake Road with Rev. Burtis Williams officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.
