Melanie Jo Codrick

Melanie Jo Codrick passed away on Friday, April 9, 2010 in Abilene, Texas. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 11, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Hill officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Dallas, Texas. Melanie was born on September 30, 1955 at the Naval Hospital in Alameda, California to Frank and Anita Codrick. She grew up in Mount Holly, New Jersey, and moved to Abilene in 1973 to attend Abilene Christian University. She worked as a Practice Manager for Dr. Charlie Taylor's orthodontics practice for 22 years where she touched countless lives. Melanie was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anita Codrick, and her niece, Michele Russo Miller. Melanie is survived by her twin sister, Cindy Adams and her husband, Patrick, and their children, Chris, Missy and Hayley. She is also survived by her oldest sister, Marilyn Russo and her husband, Nick, and their children, Nick, Terry and Michael, along with a number of great and great-great nieces and nephews.
