Mattie Marie Edwards

Mattie Marie Edwards, age 84, died Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at a local nursing center. A private family graveside service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2005 in the Johnson Memorial Cemetery in Munday, Texas. Services will be under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd., Abilene, Tx. Mattie Marie Edwards was born on September 19, 1920 in Munday, Texas to parents George Isbell and Florence Cowan Isbell. She married Plummer Edwards who preceded her in death in 1988. Mattie was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of Christ – Scientist in Abilene. Mattie was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers. Mattie Marie is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Billy Edwards and wife, Barbara, of Abilene; one niece, Carolyn Isbell Greer, of Abilene; two nephews, Jack Quinn Tidwell, of Odessa; and William Anthony Meadors, of Lubbock. Also a granddaughter, Amy and husband, Scott Meyers, of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX; and two great-grandchildren, Max and Molly Meyers. Memorials may be sent to Hendrick Hospice Care or Donor's favorite charity.
