Matthew Steele Cason

Matthew Steele Cason, 21, of Abilene, TX went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 26, 2017. Visitation for friends and family will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2017 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home at 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene. Services will be held on Monday, October 30 at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery. Matthew was born on April 11,1996 in Abilene, TX to Rick and Gena Cason. Matthew attended Wylie Schools and was part of the Life Skills program. He was a special young man who touched the lives of everyone around him. His love for life could be seen daily in his smile, and his laughter brought joy to everyone in the room. Matthew shared a special bond with everyone that knew him. From the day he was born, he shared a "perfect" relationship with his Granny. Matthew will truly be missed by his friends and family, but they are so excited to know he is in heaven with Jesus. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gena Cason and his sister, Danlyn Cason; his "Aunt Candy", Candace Cason Grantham; his uncle Randall Cason; and his uncle Charles Cason. Matthew is survived by his father, Rick Cason and his wife Jene'e and daughter Aubrey; his brother, David Cason his wife Starla and their children Brittyn and Charlee; and his grandmother, Eva Cason all of Abilene; his aunt Rhonda Mayfield and her husband Mike of Lubbock; his maternal grandmother, Pat Steele; uncle Richard Steele and his wife Margaret and their children Ryan, Christopher, and MacKenzie; and his aunt Kimberly Steele and her daughter Kylie Vale. Matthew is additionally survived by his cousins Ron and Tiffany Cason and their children Presley and Landry of Dallas; Charva and Jason Ingram and their daughters Ivy and Cason of Waco; Randy and Sadie Cason and their children Trey, Kaylynn, Cade, and Hattie of Florida. To celebrate Matthew's love for music, memorials may be given to Pioneer Drive Baptist Church High School Choir in Abilene, TX.
