Mary Lou Roberson

Mary Lou Roberson, 70, died Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at her home in Abilene. A funeral service, with Mr. John McCord officiating, will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday in The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road with burial to follow in the Clyde Cemetery. There will be a visitation Friday afternoon from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M at the Funeral Home. Mary Lou was born August 6, 1935 in Megargel, Texas to John T. and Mattie McWhorter Ledbetter. A long time Abilene resident, she worked for Timex Watch Company until the plant closed, and then began a new career as a hair stylist. She was a partner in Reflections Beauty Salon. Mary Lou had a special gift of friendship and enjoyed an extensive network of long time and new friends. Her husband, Billy Bob Roberson, preceded her in death. Mary Lou is survived by a sister, Sara Wilson of Buffalo Gap, as well as several nieces and nephews.
