Jackie Milliorn, age 87, of Abilene, TX, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 in Tyler, TX. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 31, 2017 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, TX. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at North Park Baptist Church located at 1525 Anson Ave., Abilene, TX with the Rev. Louis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Jackie Milliorn was born in San Angelo, TX to Elmer and Pearl Doyle on May 5, 1929. She began school in Stamford, TX and graduated from New Deal High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for LaJet, Enprotec for about 28 years. She was involved in Beta Signa Phi for over 20 years and a member of Altrusa starting in 1972 and severed as president in 1977. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, brother, sister and one son, Jerry Myers of Stamford, TX. Jackie is survived by son, Robert Myers and wife Charlotte of Tyler, TX; son, Lee Myers and Kathleen Lundy of Justin, TX; grandchildren, Dawn Myers of Princeton, TX, Stephen Myers and wife Jenny, Debra Reese and husband Jamie, and Brandi Myers and husband Donnell Jenkins all of Abilene, TX, as well as nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Robert Myers, Lee Myers, Stephen Myers, Jamie Reese, Jaden Myers and Quentin Schultz. Memorials may be given in Jackie’s honor to North Park Baptist Church, 1525 Anson Ave., Abilene, TX 79601. The family of Jackie Milliorn wishes to extend our sincere thanks to University Place of Abilene, TX, and Briarcliff Health Center and Hospice Connection both of Tyler, TX.
