Mary Olvera Luna

Mary Olvera Luna, 77 of Abilene, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in Abilene. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Sunday, April 15th at The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 16th at The Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Adam Droll officiating. Burial will follow at the Abilene Municipal Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene. Mary was born in Abilene, TX on April 29, 1940 to Jose And Cecelia Olvera. She graduated from Abilene High School. She married Reynaldo Sanchez Luna on February 21, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a son Paul O. Flores. Mary is survived by her husband Rey Luna of Abilene. Daughters; Donna Ann Sosa and husband Rick of Austin, Bonnie Montanez of Abilene, Donna Marie Morales of McKinney & Faye Ovalle and husband Ambrosio of Abilene. One son; Sam Montanez of Navasota. Two brothers; Manuel Hernandez of Abilene & Jose Olvera of Waco. Twenty grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and one great- great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Daniel Salitre, Alfred Salitre, Sergio Beltran, Brad Tanner, Gilbert Morales, Jr. & Ambrosio Ovalle. Family wishes to thank Dr. Melnyk and staff at Texas Oncology, 7th Floor Oncology Unit at Hendrick Medical Center and Hendricks Hospice Center.
