Mary Margaret and Dwight Lewis Kinard married on April 12,1952 in Post, Texas. Memphis, Texas was their home before moving to Abilene in 1960. They joined the First Baptist Church in 1961. She was also an active member of the 20th Century Club for over forty years and served a term as President.
Miggie's greatest joy was being with Dwight and for over sixty-five years they were inseparable. They spent many summers at their home in Colorado and made many lifelong friends there. Miggie was active in Bible studies, bridge clubs, and other numerous organizations in the Gunnison Valley. Their love of the mountains was contagious and has been passed on to their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Miggie will be greatly missed but her sweet spirit and gentle nature will always be a part of each person who knew and loved her.
