Pauline "Polly" Henry, 91, of Abilene, passed away Friday, July 21, 2006. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Monday, July 24, at Faith Baptist Church, 2300 South 20th, with Rev. Steven Parker, Rev. Stan Allcorn and Dr. Elbert G. Peak officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Polly was born on February 21, 1915 in Conway, Arkansas to Charlie and Minnie Alexandra (Pope) Keathley. She has called Abilene Home since 1948 and worked at the Saddle and Sirloin Restaurant as a waitress for 35 years. Polly was an avid fan of the Cooper Cougars, the Texas Rangers and the Texas Aggies.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ben Henry in 1961, one brother and three sisters. Polly is survived by her daughter, Mary Hodges and her husband Steve of Abilene, daughter Barbara Clatt of Universal City, Texas, son Billy Prothro and his wife Sissy of Rosebud, Arkansas, 16 grandchildren, including Colby, Cinnamon and Casey Hodges of Abilene and 24 great-grandchildren.
Polly has now gone to be with her husband and her precious Savior.
