Mary Lou Galloway, 89, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at an Abilene nursing center.
Born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 17, 1920, she was the daughter of Oscar Hartwell Pribble and Carrie Lou Pribble. She attended TCU in Fort Worth.
Mary Lou was a longtime member and loyal supporter of First Baptist Church in Abilene, and a longtime supporter of Hardin-Simmons University. She was a former member of both the Junior League of Abilene and Abilene Woman's Club.
Mrs. Galloway was preceded in death by her first husband, Dan Dillingham; second husband, Paul R. Galloway, Sr.; two daughters, Sally Byram and Danna Lou Dillingham; parents; brother, O. M. Pribble; and sister, Elizabeth Marshall.
Survivors include her sister, Jean Rogers of Abilene; stepson, Joe Galloway of Abilene; grandsons, Johnny Byram and Blake Byram and wife, Monica; granddaughter, Brooke Davenport and husband, Blake; great-grandchildren, Grant Byram, Grace Elizabeth Byram, Chloe Christina Davenport and Charlotte Sally Davenport; and several nieces and nephews including niece, Patricia Massey of Abilene.
Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday in Elmwood Memorial Park in the Rose Garden Section with Rev. David Leyerle officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.
