Mary Ann Blankenship
Mary Ann Blankenship passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2005 in Abilene, Texas after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 25, 2005 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Major James E. Parrish will officiate. Burial will follow at Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories.
Mary Ann was born to Leon and Mary Jo Blankenship in Abilene, Texas on March 8, 1964. She graduated from Anson High School and Abilene Christian University, where she earned a Bachelor Degree in Education. She taught school at Eagle Charter School, Abilene High and Lincoln Middle Schools. She took great interest in her students.
Mary Ann was a loving mother to her children Tanner Walters and Rebecca Blankenship. Other survivors include her parents, Leon and Mary Jo Blankenship of Anson, her brothers George Blankenship and his wife Louise, Steve Blankenship and his wife Lee Anne, and Scott Blankenship; a special cousin Peggy McKeever, and several other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Her greatest gift to the world was her thoughtful ways, her sweet smile and her love for her children, family and friends.
