Mark Alan Hay, 44, passed away Monday, November 5, 2007. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 8, with Chaplain David Takacs officiating, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm prior to the service.
Mark was born January 3, 1963 in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania to Joseph James Hay and Lorraine (Pickwell) Hay. He graduated from Pocono Mountain High School in 1980. Mark married Holly Bolduc in Cresco, Pennsylvania. For four years he served in the United States Army Reserves. About one year ago, Mark and his family moved to Abilene from Cresco, Pennsylvania. He was currently employed by Sheppard Surveying.
Mark loved everything about the outdoors, from camping, fishing, hunting and hiking. He was a former Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader. Mark was a Methodist.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Hay and one brother, Gerald L. Hay. Mark leaves behind his wife, Holly Hay; one son, Mark Alan Hay II; two daughters, Michelle and Angela Marie Hay, all of Tye; his mother, Lorraine Hay, of Tannersville, Pennsylvania; one brother, James Hay, also of Tannersville, Pennsylvania; and his beloved dog, "Willy".
