Marie Dutton

Marie Dutton, 94, of Abilene passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014, in Abilene. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, in Potosi Cemetery with Rev. David Cason officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. Born in Paducah, Texas, on December 2, 1919, Marie was the daughter of Gladys (Ward) and Claude Taylor. She was a homemaker. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Dutton in 1964; father, Claude Taylor; mother, Gladys Taylor; and sister, Jewell Holladay. Survivors include a daughter, Gladys Rossiter of Hamby; two sons, Claude Dutton and wife Ruby, and Arthur Dutton and wife Lea, all of Potosi; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and six step great-grandchildren. The family would like to express our gratitude to Dr. James Purpura; the staff at The Oaks at Radford Hills, especially Shelley, Robert and Maureen; and the Hendrick Hospice Nurses.
