Maria Concetta Reed

Maria “Dee Dee” Glorioso Reed, 78, of Abilene, Tx passed away September 18, 2022, in Abilene.

Visitation will be Monday, September 26, 2022, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Adam Droll presiding.  Burial will follow at The Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene at 1:00 pm.  Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home.

Maria was born in Alexandria, Louisiana to Vincent and Mary Glorioso on June 6, 1944.  She married Charles Kenneth Reed on May 4, 1968, in Alexandria.  She worked as a private secretary for Wes Tex Drilling before she became a teacher’s aide for Lincoln Middle School where she worked for 17 years.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Mary Glorioso, as well as her brother, Sam Glorioso.

Maria is survived by her husband, Charles Kenneth Reed; her daughters, Mary McShan and husband Marshall, Myra Sanchez and husband Scott; grandchildren, Kade & Bailee McShan; Reed & Riley Sanchez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Marshall McShan, Kade McShan, Scott Sanchez & Reed Sanchez
