Margit Alice Poulsen Bryan, 63, of Houston, Texas passed into her Heavenly home on February 1, 2007 at her home with her husband, David, of 39 years and her daughter, Ninna, at her side.
Margit was born on October 28, 1943, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Margit and David were married in Denmark in July of 1967. She worked most of her life in the medical field, most recently for the practice of Mid-Cities Neurology Associates, P.A. in Bedford, Texas.
Margit was preceded in death by her parents Astrid and Victor Poulsen of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, Texas. The funeral service, with Dr. Tim Temple officiating, will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home and interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Margit is survived by her husband, David of Houston; her daughter Ninna Bryan of Sacramento, CA. She is also survived by her sister Doris Skov and husband Jess Skov and her brother Henning Poulsen, all of Copenhagen, Denmark. Her mother-in-law Mary Peters Bryan of Abilene, her sisters-in-law, Mary Sullivan and husband Scotty Sullivan and Martha B. Rau, her brothers-in-law Jerry Bryan and wife Valerie; Fred and John Bryan, along with many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express special gratitude to Dr. Paul Mathew and Ms. Jane Williams of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for their tireless efforts in treating Margit for the past five years. We also express special gratitude to Dr's. Jerome Kane, Scott Hall and James Barry, as well as Ms. Kim Blasingame, all of Mid-Cities Neurology of Bedford, Texas, for believing in Margit throughout her illness.
