Margie Hickman Finley

Margie Sue (Hickman) Finley, 75, of Tuscola, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023. She was born to W.B. and Maybelle Hickman in Snyder, TX on October 17, 1948, the youngest of seven daughters.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, December 4, at Beltway Park South in the chapel, with visitation starting one hour prior at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene, at 2:00 pm. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd.

Margie married Gary Finley on December 28, 1991. They were active members of Beltway Park Church, where they served as greeters. She worked as a home inspector but enjoyed spending her free time outdoors and camping. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the lights of her life. Known as "Nana," she cherished every moment with them.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, W.B. and Maybelle Hickman; Gary's parents, Dorothy and Charles Finley; Gary's daughter, Alicia Finley; and her sisters, Maxine Thompson, Marscline Beissner, Thelma Kmeic, and Mary Kiger.

She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years and 11 months, Gary Finley; daughter, Monica Collier (Jeff); son, Scott Oldenburgh (Michelle); Gary's son, Shawn Finley (Denise); grandchildren, Katey Collier (Jason Bennett), Christopher Collier, Tanner Oldenburgh (Cami), Emily Hataway (Jackson), Zach Finley (Tori), and Hayden Finley; great-grandchildren, Kinsley Oldenburgh, Cohen Powers, and a third on the way. Margie is also survived by two sisters and their husbands, Brenda Craft (Tommy), and Linda Leisinger (James), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Love and Care Ministries, West Texas Rehab, or the Food Bank.
