Malcolm H. Bramlett, 66 years old, of Abilene Texas, passed away on September 18, 2015 at Abilene Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be Monday, September 21, 2015 from 5pm to 7pm at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Wylie Baptist Church of Abilene, Texas with Rev. Donny Harbers of Wylie Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene at 12 noon. Arrangements are by The Hamil Family Funeral Home.
Malcolm H. Bramlett was born in Lubbock, Texas to VT Bramlett and Evelyn Bramlett on February 24, 1949. He went to Lubbock High School where he met the love of his life, Sandra Hill. He graduated from Lubbock High School in 1967. Malcolm and Sandra were married on March 21, 1970. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1967 and was stationed at Malstrom Air Force Base in North Dakota, Na Trang Air Force Base in Vietnam, Dyess Air Force Base of Texas, Brooks Air Force Base of San Antonio, Panama Canal Zone and retired from Dyess Air Force Base as TSgt with 96th Security Police Squadron in 1987. He began working with the Abilene State School in September 1990 and retired in December 2012. He obtained his Associate Degree in Business in 1992. Malcolm was president and board member of Keep Abilene Beautiful, lifetime member of Veterans’ of Foreign Wars, active member of Wylie Baptist Church, supporter of Wylie Pure Gold Band, and proud and active participant of Harley Owners Group.
Malcolm was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Truman Bramlett.
Malcolm H. Bramlett is survived by his wife, Sandra Bramlett; daughter, Amy Jo Bramlett of Abilene, Texas; son and family, Brian, Elizabeth and Brice Bramlett of Cedar Park, Texas; brother and sister-in law, David and Irene Bramlett of Pittsburgh, Texas; sister, Teresa Bramlett of Abilene, Texas; sister, Karen Bramlett of Florida; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Terri Bramlett of Katy, Texas; mother, Evelyn Bramlett of Abilene, Texas; mother-in-law, Betty Hill of Abilene, Texas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenny and Kathleen Hill of New Braunfels; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Havard, Martie Garcia, Joe Galvan, Ross Anderson, Dan Pritchett, Clyde McMinn, and Myrl Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Wylie Baptist Church Building Fund, 6097 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, TX 79606.
