Lynda Noonan

December 8, 1948 — February 4, 2025

Mrs. Lynda Joy Pool Noonan, 76, passed away on February 4, 2025, in Abilene, Texas.

Lynda was born on December 8, 1948, in Strawn, Texas, to Randall M. Pool Sr. and Wanda Black Pool. She dedicated her career to education as a Speech Therapist and PPCD teacher, touching the lives of many students. Upon retiring from Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, she remained deeply involved in the district's history by contributing to the Northside ISD School Museum. She helped write and edit the museum's cookbooks, *Simply the Best*, Volumes I and II, and played an active role in numerous museum association committees.

Lynda had a generous spirit that extended beyond her professional life. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she sewed face masks for faculty and staff at Bonnie Ellison Elementary School and donated hundreds more to various organizations. Her passion for sewing was just one of her many talents; she was also an excellent cook and baker who delighted those around her with her culinary skills.

She shared a love for Texas A&M University with her husband, Craig Noonan, as active members of the 12th Man organization and the San Antonio Aggie Club. In addition to their shared interests, Lynda found joy in line dancing in San Antonio and later in Abilene.

Lynda is survived by her beloved husband, Craig Noonan; her brother, Randy Pool; and sister-in-law, Marianne Pool. She also leaves behind many cherished cousins: Arnold Ray Black (Tomball, TX), Kathy McDonald Black (Tomball, TX), Joe Pool (Ennis, TX), Curt Pool (Dallas), Ronald Boerger (Wharton, TX), Donna Kueker (Wharton, TX), David Jones (Winter Haven, FL), and Larry Jones (Katy, TX). She was preceded in death by her parents, Randall M Pool Sr. and Wanda Faye Black.

Lynda was a loving wife, sister, and loyal friend to many. Her kindness and dedication to others will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Lynda's family wants to thank Dr David Mc. Cain, Dr. Chris Hardegree, Wesley Court Skilled Nursing unit, Visiting Angels, and Hendrick Hospice.
