LUMMIE B. "Butch" JARRETT, Jr. Lummie Jarrett, 66, of Odessa, died Friday, January 20, 2006 in an Abilene hospital. A graveside service, with Reverend Rodney Watson officiating, will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Lummie was born May 22, 1939 in Lamesa, Texas to Lummie and Minnie Parker Jarrett. He attended school in Lamesa and then began a lifelong career working in the oilfields of West Texas, becoming a crew chief in Odessa. He served several years in the National Guard. Lummie had a great sense of humor and loved fishing and other outdoor activities. Survivors include: two sons, Bobby and his wife Free of Dubai, UAE, and Lonnie and his wife Kim of Lubbock; a daughter, Sabrina Munns of Abilene; his mother, Minnie Davis of Odessa; two sisters, Alleene Hocker of Gardendale, TX and JoAnn Gibson of Odessa; nine grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
