Luis G. Rodriguez

Luis Guillermo Rodriguez, 90, of Coamo, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, in Abilene, Texas.

 Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with the rosary starting at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 29th at Hamil Family Funeral Home

 Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Alonso of Holy Family Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Luis was born to Aurea Rivera Suarez and Guillermo Rodriguez on October 30th, 1934. He completed junior high school in Coamo. He married Danelia Rodriguez on February 8, 1958 in New York, NY. He worked as a machinist for Stacie Island Pen Company for 43 years and A&L Pen for 10 years. 

 Luis is survived by his wife, Danelia Rodriguez, his two children, Guillermo Rodriguez (son and his wife Daisy Rodriguez) and Leslie Ann Rodriguez Morrell (daughter), his grandchildren, Jameson and Maya Morrell, and his brother, Rafael Rodriguez, of Coamo, PR.

Kenny Stephens, Cody Cory, Guillermo Rodriguez, Jameson Morrell, Brian Edmonds, and Chip Townsend will be the pallbearers.

The family of Luis Rodriguez wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses, Respiratory therapists, and the entire staff in the ICU unit of Hendrick South, Dr. Pham, Dr. Neaseman, and Dr. Ogu, and all close and special friends of the family.
