Evelyn Lucille “Luci” Lacewell, 74, died Tuesday, July 14, 2015 in Abilene, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. today, Thursday, July 16, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene, with Rev. John Fanning officiating. Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon Friday, July 17, at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth, TX. Born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 18, 1940, Luci was the daughter of Helen Ruth (Elliott) and William Thomas Wyatt. She was a nurse and retired from Sears Methodist Center. She also taught nursing at AISN School of Nursing in Abilene. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Lacewell, in 1963, and her parents. Luci is survived by her sister, Mae Nix and husband Don of Fort Worth, and three nephews, Alan Nix, Billy Nix and Chris Nix.
