Lona Mae O'Neal

Lona O’Neal, 87, of Tuscola, passed away on May 24, 2022 at her home in Tuscola, Tx.

Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Monday, May 30, 2022 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd.

Funeral service will be held at 10am Tuesday,  May 31, 2022 at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene with Paula Gentry of Church of the Nazarene Trinity, officiating.

Lona O’Neal was born is Stafford, KS to Lona and Rachel Wheatley on June 22, 1934. She married Richard O’Neal on June 21, 1964 in El Paso, Texas. She worked as a Teacher for many years.

Lona is preceded in death by her husband Richard O’Neal, her parents, and her brother Lawerence Eudene Wheatley.

Lona is survived by Brother Johnie Wheatley and wife Lula, Sister LaDena Nicholson many nieces, nephews, and great nieces, and nephews.

The family wants to thank her doctors, Hendricks Hospice, First Church of Nazarene Abilene, Church of Nazarene Trinity, friends and neighbors.
