Lois L. Taylor, 86, of Abilene, Texas died Sunday, July 3, 2011.
Funeral services in Abilene will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 7, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will also be held in Wymore, Nebraska at Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home, 505 N. 9th St., Wymore, Nebraska at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, with burial to follow in the Wymore Cemetery. Visitation in Wymore will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 8, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Taylor was born April 7, 1925 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Lloyd C. and Ethel (Latture) Constable. She graduated from Wymore High School in Wymore, Nebraska and attended The University of Nebraska. She married Joseph A. Taylor on March 5, 1944 in Wymore, where she helped her husband farm the family farm for many years. They were also business owners over the years in several different business ventures. In 1991, they moved from San Diego, California to Abilene, Texas, where she was a member of Wylie United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband in 2000, her parents, and one sister Lenora Ellwood.
She is survived by a daughter, Joy Lee Fleshman and her husband Fred of San Diego, California; two sons, Jim Taylor and his wife Bobbie of Abilene, and Joe Taylor also of Abilene, eight grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
