Lisa Carol Eversole Wilcox, 47, of Abilene, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in Abilene.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the chapel of Beltway South with Nathan Healy, officiating. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Lisa was born on December 8, 1971 in Plainview, Texas. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1990 and Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1995. She later completed her Education Certification from McMurry University in 2002. In 2011, she moved to Abilene from Roscoe, Texas. Lisa was currently teaching business and technology at Madison Jr. High School. Previously she taught at Cooper High School and Highland ISD and Colorado City ISD. Lisa’s greatest pastime was spending time and making memories with her children. She loved playing baseball, golf and spending time at the lake with family and friends. Lisa had a great love for animals and music. She was a very compassionate person and was loved by her students. She enjoyed mentoring students and helping them learn. Apart from education, Lisa was a Mary Kay representative and she loved interior decorating. She attended Beltway South.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Charles Berry Eversole; her grandparents, Jay and Jessie Mae Welch; Charles Eversole, Sr., and Mildred Eversole Hughes.
Survivors include her daughter, Megan Laine Wilcox of Abilene; her son, Seth Zachary Wilcox of Abilene; her mother, Linda Eversole of Plainview, Texas; her sister, Julie Eversole Whitley and husband Daniel of Clyde, Texas; two nieces, Brylie Morgan Whitley and Hadley Kate Whitley both of Clyde; and numerous cousins.
