Lisa Walker

Lisa Ann Walker, 67, of Abilene, passed away, Sunday, December 8, 2024, in a Dallas hospital.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd., Abilene.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Aldersgate Abilene Methodist Church, 1741 Sayles Blvd., Abilene, with Rev. Dustin Wilhite officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the Breckenridge Cemetery.

Lisa was born in Abilene to Joan (Hefner) and Samuel W. Walker, Sr., on June 6, 1957. She graduated from Breckenridge High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in teaching from Angelo State University. She earned her master’s degree in education from Sul Ross University in Alpine. Lisa taught school in Merkel I.S.D. and Sunnyvale I.S.D. for most of her career.

Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Samuel W. Walker, Sr.

Lisa is survived by her mother, Joan Walker of Abilene; brother, Samuel W. Walker, Jr. and wife Lisa of Winnsboro; aunt and uncle, Larry and Kathy Conners of Plano; and many extended family and friends.
