In loving memory of Linnie “Gayle” Bertrand Doby, a cherished mother and grandmother whose life was a testament to love, faith, and family. She departed this world on February 22, 2024, surrounded by the warmth of her family and friends.
Gayle was born November 7, 1952, in Lawton, Oklahoma to Walter and Pat Bertrand. She dedicated her life to nurturing and guiding her three beloved sons, instilling in them the values of kindness, integrity, and strength. Her unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her through life's joys and challenges with grace and resilience.
She married the love of her life, Arley Doby on April 4th, 2009. They built a life together surrounded by family, friends, and their grandchildren.
As a grandmother, Gayle was called Mimi. She showered her grandchildren with endless love, laughter, and wisdom. She found immeasurable joy in watching them grow, making it to every ball game that she could, and imparting her wisdom, faith, and values with each passing day. Her gentle presence and boundless affection created cherished memories that will live forever in their hearts.
She loved games and the camaraderie of playing with family and friends. Whether it was a lively Thursday night card game or a spirited round of board games, she found immense joy in the thrill of competition and the joy of shared experiences.
In the embrace of her family, Gayle found her greatest happiness. She cherished every moment spent with her sons and grandchildren, reveling in their laughter, accomplishments, and milestones. Her love knew no bounds, and her legacy of devotion will continue to inspire generations to come.
Beyond her role as a mother and grandmother, Gayle was a devout follower of God, finding solace and strength in her faith. Her love for God was evident in every aspect of her life, guiding her actions and serving as a beacon of light for all who knew her.
Though she may have departed from this earthly realm, the memory of her love, kindness, and unwavering faith will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she find eternal peace and rest in the embrace of her Creator.
