Linda Jean Patman
Linda Jean Patman, 55, of Abilene, died Wednesday, December 21, 2005, at a local hospital. Services will be held on Monday, December 26, 2005 at 2:00 pm at the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Ovilla, Texas, with Keith Rice officiating, assisted by Jacky Wallace. Burial will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery in Ovilla, Texas. Services will be directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Linda was born October 23, 1950 in Lubbock, Texas to Bill Patman and Dorothy Yarborough. She moved to Angleton, Texas in 1954. She graduated from high school in Angleton. Linda attended Sam Houston State University and then moved to Houston where she worked for the Welfare Department for six years. Following her employment with the Welfare Department, she worked for Quintana Petroleum Company in Houston as an accountant. She also worked for Texon Petroleum Corporation.
Linda was preceded in death by her grandparents and her parents, Bill Patman and Dorothy Thomas. She is survived by two aunts, Ressie White of Ovilla, Texas, her cousin, John White and his wife Anita and their children of Ovilla, Texas, and Emily Brown and her husband Eddie of Encinitas, California. Linda is also survived by her extended family, Cindy Steger of Abilene, Pamela Steger of Austin, Pam and Jacky Wallace, Lindsay and Brandon McAuliffe, Jana McMullen, Kajeanna, Kiara, and Kasia Jones all of Abilene. She is also survived by several cousins. The staff of Dr. Victor Hirsch will serve as honorary pallbearers.
