Linda Lee Dickerson

Linda Dickerson, of Abilene, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 at the age of 68. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 8 at Ridgemont Baptist Church. Burial will follow at a later date in West Des Moines, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. October 13, 1939, Linda was born in West Des Moines, Iowa to Eddie and Frances (Phillips) Mendenhall. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a Revenue Officer before retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Eddie Allen Mendenhall. Linda is survived by one son, George Dickerson of Clive, Iowa; two daughters, Jeri Lynn Taylor and Jamie Lynn Dickerson, both of Abilene; one sister, Patricia Lee Thomas, of Dallas; two grandchildren, Toni Taylor and Chris Coleman, and six great-grandchildren.
