Linda Crisp

Linda Faye Jean Clarke Crisp, age 79, of Abilene Texas passed from this life peacefully at home on August 16, 2023.  She was born May 3, 1944 in Gorman Texas to William and Loraine Clarke. She married Joe Frank Crisp in October of 1962 who preceded her in death in 2020.  
 
She graduated from Rising Star.  Linda worked and owned her own Beauty Salon for 50+ years.  She treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them.  She was a lover and participant of golf and bowling and could frequently be found at the local Ambler Bingo or closest Casino engaging in her love of gambling.  She had a quick wit and always made people around her laugh.  She was known for her love of family and her amazing creativity.  Christmas was a special time of year and her creativity blossomed with the excitement of the holidays.  Many loved ones will miss her singing, dancing, humor, her spirit, kindness and fierce protective love she had for her family.  
 
Linda was also preceded in death by her parents William and Loraine Clarke; sister Yvonne Westerman; brother Bill Clarke; son Todd Allen Crisp and sister-in-law Ginger Clarke.
 
She is survived by daughter Jalynda Leigh Smith and Zack Garrett of Abilene; son Gary and Mandy Wilson of Abilene and son Joe Wayne Crisp of Houston; grandson Kole & Lexi Smith of Hawley, grandson Jayden Dodson of Abilene, grandson Patrick Campbell of Houston, granddaughter Samantha Wilson of Abilene, grandson Gary (Corky) Wilson of Abilene, granddaughter Mallory and Jimmy Partin of Kentucky; sister Jinny and Joe Crawford of San Antonio; brother Bob and Susie Clarke of Colorado; brother Dick Clarke of Abilene; sister Sharon Pennell and Jan Carpenter of Abilene; and sister Nan Clarke; and many nieces and nephews that she adored and loved.
 
A visitation will be held on Wednesday August 23, 2023 from 6:00-8:00pm at The Hamil Family Funeral Home located at 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd, Abilene Texas.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00am on Thursday August 24, 2023 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home with Rodney Watson, Pastor of Lytle South Baptist Church officiating.  Services are under the direction of the Hamil Family Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at the Texas State Veteran's Cemetery for the immediate family.
