Linda Havner Clark, 73, of Zephyr, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 in Abilene.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday May 2, 2019 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Bangs Church of Christ with Michael Light, minister, officiating. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home.
Linda was born on April 18, 1946 in Coleman, Texas to the late Dock and Erna Lee (McMillan) Havner. She was a graduate of Wylie High School. After graduating from high school, she and Wade Clark were married on April 12, 1965 in Abilene. Linda co-owned and operated C&C Sales and was formerly a branch manager CenTech Supply. She was a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society Auxiliary (RSESA) for 45 years and the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) for 35 years. Linda loved spending time with her family and for years she helped orchestrate the family reunion. The light of her life was her ten grandchildren and her three great grandchildren. She was a member of the Bangs Church of Christ. She loved to sew and crochet. Linda and Wade moved to Zephyr, Texas in 1991 from Joshua, Texas.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Kim Havner and one brother, Steven Havner.
Survivors include her husband Wade of Zephyr; three sons, Tim Clark and wife Barbara of Elgin, Oklahoma, Jim Clark and wife Debra of Zephyr and Jerry Clark and wife Kathryn of Tuscola, Texas; one daughter, Melanie Hutchinson and husband Che of Buffalo Gap, Texas; two brothers, Michael Havner and wife Barbara of Clyde, Texas and David Havner and wife Debra of Tuscola; three sisters, Carol Talbot of Abilene, Sue Ruehling of Clyde, Texas and June Baysinger and husband Denis of Abilene; ten grandchildren, Melinda, Dylan, Parker, Marshall, Kyla, Navy, Connor, Emily, Paige and Cyan; three great grandchildren, Tre’, Kevin and Paisleigh; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
